GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas – The Galveston County Animal Resource Center (ARC) is happy to offer half-price adoptions for National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day. Since the national observance falls on a day when the ARC is closed, the shelter will recognize the day on Saturday, April 29, 2017.
The adoption fee at the ARC covers spay or neuter, rabies vaccination and a microchip. These incentives can cost hundreds of dollars if purchased separately outside the shelter. The half-price adoption fee of $42.50 still includes all incentives.
“There are lots of reasons thousands of caring people choose the ARC as the place to find their loving furbabies each year,” said Amber Adams, ARC manager. “The pure value of having the spay or neuter, rabies vaccination and microchip is one of those reasons.”
In addition to the half-price rate of $42.50, the ARC also offers other selected pets at an adoption rate of $20 every day thanks to the charitable Boot Kikkers Bingo fund. The adoption fees of long-term pets can be waived with the use of the Sponsor A Heart fund, while funds last.
The half-price rate is available on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The special rate is available to anyone, regardless of city of residency. The ARC is located at 3412 Loop 197 North (25th Ave. North) in Texas City. For more information, call (409) 948-2485 or visit. www.arcpets.org.
“It takes just one look into little precious eyes to fall in love and find your new family member,” Adams continued.
