WIC services are available by appointment only in Texas City, Dickinson and Galveston.
Our Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) division provides supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.
Programs
Summer Meal Program
- Each Friday, July 26 - August 9
- Located at the Texas City WIC Clinic
- 9850 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway, Suite B-101, Texas City
The Free Summer Food Service Program is open to all children and teens ages 18 and younger and is offering free meals every Friday. Lunch must be eaten on site, and it's first come, first serve. For more information, call 409.949.3471.
WIC Vouchers for Galveston's Own Farmers Market (Spanish)
- Open every Sunday
- Located at GHF's The Depot on Market
- 3304 Market Street, Galveston
Every child and parent receiving WIC can get $30 vouchers for FREE to buy fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers. Bring your WIC benefits sheet from the WIC clinic to the market info booth from May - September.
Cooking Adventures with WIC
- Every Other Wednesday starting June 28
- Located at the Texas City WIC Clinic
