The Galveston County Health District (GCHD) WIC division is happy to host a second free parenting class focusing on infants. The 10-week class will take place at the GCHD Dickinson WIC clinic starting June 22.
The class, called The Incredible Years, is a collaboration with the Galveston New Parenting Initiative. Parents, guardians and caregivers of newborn through one-year-old children are encouraged to register quickly as class size is limited. Participants will receive free diapers and a meal at each class.
“The feedback from our first class earlier this year was great,” said Tiffany Rice, GCHD WIC program manager. “Everyone really enjoyed joining other parents and experts to discuss and learn about the incredible journey of raising a child.”
The class will be held 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursdays from June 22 to August 24 at the GCHD Dickinson WIC clinic, located at 3411 Gulf Freeway.
Registration is required prior to the first class by calling 409-949-3471 or 281-534-3569 or emailing cscott@fscgal.org.
“Our first class filled up quickly so I urge those interested to register today,” Rice continued.
