Galveston County Health District WIC is partnering with Galveston’s Own Farmers Market to help the community learn how to create low-cost, delicious and healthy recipes with a new cooking series. The next class is set for Aug. 21 noon-2 p.m. with guest Chef Lisa Lewis of the farmers market. The menu includes Greek quinoa bowl, balsamic chicken and low-fat caramel corn, all featuring fresh vegetables from the market.
