Empower yourself to better manage diabetes with Galveston County Health District’s (GCHD) free Type 2 Diabetes Discussion class. Classes are held 10-11:30 a.m. at Mae S. Bruce Library,  13302 6th St, Santa Fe.

Topics include monitoring blood glucose, healthy eating, meal planning, understanding food labels, counting carbohydrates and managing stress through increased activity.

Plus, we'll be offering free health screenings including blood pressure, blood sugar and oxygen level checks and COVID-19 booster doses for ages 18+.
